Confessions of a Neurotic Dog Mom: I Miss the Heat Already
I’m not one of these weirdos who likes to sit around with no fan or AC on in the summer. I love fall.
But I’m feeling disloyal to fall.
This cool, crisp air has put a certain spring in my animals’ steps. Not like a fun Tigger spring, like an ever-so-close-to-disaster spring.
Sometimes when both cats and June are riled up, I feel like the kids in The Cat in the Hat. Or the Fish. I feel like the Fish.
I miss those hot, but not hot enough to be dangerous, 90 degree days, when all my pets just stretched out, too lazy to move from in front of the fan, or even look at each other. They really loved each other when they were too hot to move.
